Founder’s Story
Our HOP (Head of Paathshala)’s Journey
Degrees and academic excellence can make us individual par excellence, but the real test of our knowledge happens when we put it to the test in the ‘real world’. Sweta Singh, the Founder of Gyaan Roots had a similar start to her professional narrative. It was when she put her acumen and knack for Maths to the test in the practical world that she realized how far she can go with her skills in helping people.
Life came to a full circle for Sweta when she laid the foundation stone of her brainchild Gyaan Roots . However, her journey started with teaching, which marked her entry into the professional world. As a teacher, over the years Sweta handled her role with maturity. Her prowess in teaching is the biggest asset that she brings to her company.
Sweta’s primary motivation for Gyaan Roots has been the societal differentiation in thought processes, regarding money. The purse strings are always held by men in most families, even today. And women irrespective of their standing within the family, have very less idea of investment and savings. This thought touched Sweta immensely and as a woman who is also raising a daughter herself, she realized that women need to be encouraged to understand the nuances of money. This was how the seed of starting Gyaan Roots was sown and then with her husband’s unflinching support, Sweta built her consultancy brick by brick to impart financial literacy.

The ride was fulfilling; the passion was unwavering
Sweta always wanted to use her power of explaining a topic in detail to her advantage. This combined with her vast experience and knowledge of money and investment, helped her derive the right formula for consultancy at Gyaan Roots . Through her unwavering resolve to help every individual identify their investment goals, she wants to nurture individuals to invest in themselves. In order to get empowered financially, Sweta promotes the philosophy to tell her clients that the ‘power lies within them’. It was not easy to gain a foothold in a profession that was always male-dominated, but who could say no to her, when she had the calculations to succeed, up in her sleeves.
